Common questions about visiting the winery, the estate, and planning a wedding or celebration at Tranquility Farm.
For anyone coming to taste, purchase, or experience the estate wines — Draksha and Otium.
Yes, tastings are by reservation only. Reserve through Tock →
The tasting room pours both estate labels — Draksha sparkling wines and Otium, the vintner's artisanal program of estate and beyond. Availability varies by vintage and season. Current pours are listed on Tock at the time of reservation.
Yes. Bottles are available for purchase at the tasting room and through our online shop. Shipping is available where permitted by state law.
Yes. Individual tastings are reserved through Tock. For larger groups or special wine events, submit an inquiry here →
Yes — the wine club. Production from both Draksha and Otium is limited by design, and members are first to access new releases before they reach the tasting room or shop. The club has three membership levels — Cellar, Estate, and Barrel — each a different depth of relationship with the wine. Membership also includes complimentary tastings and invitations to estate events.
Yes. The winery operates on its own schedule regardless of weddings or events on the estate. Winery guests and wedding guests have separate venues and separate access — the two never overlap.
The tasting room is located at 18050 Tranquility Rd, Purcellville, VA 20132 →. Parking is available on site.
General questions about the property — useful for any visitor.
A 200-year-old farm estate in Purcellville, Virginia — restored and in active daily use today as an event venue and working winery. Six venue spaces, overnight accommodations on the grounds, and an estate winery producing two labels, Draksha and Otium. An hour from Washington, D.C., thirty minutes from Dulles.
The estate has a range of natural settings — open fields, vineyard rows, Goose Creek frontage, the manor and its grounds. Among the most photographed is the Spring House, one of the smallest original structures on the property, known for its moss-covered stone walls. Easy to overlook, consistently a favorite.

Yes. Parking is available at both the Bank Barn and the Glass Manor. For larger celebrations we recommend valet service or golf carts — the property is a working farm with gravel roads and some elevation change, and both make the arrival experience easier for guests.
Yes. Both the Bank Barn and Glass Manor have step-free entry and can be reached by vehicle directly to the front door. Restrooms are available at both venues.
Outdoor ceremony sites are reached via the estate's interior gravel roads. All sites are level, though access involves some uphill elevation change from the main venues. Guests with specific accessibility requirements are encouraged to inquire directly — we'll connect you with our preferred valet and golf cart providers so you can arrange what works best for your group.
Well-behaved pets are welcome on the estate and at the winery — leashed at all times. The estate is a working farm with animals on the grounds and active operations across the property. Pets must remain under their owner's control throughout the visit, as much for their safety as for the comfort of other guests. Service animals are always welcome.

Your contracted spaces are yours alone for the duration of your rental period. No other wedding or event shares your venues, your grounds, or your moment. The estate winery operates on its own schedule independently — but everything within your contract is entirely private.
The Historic Bank Barn seats up to 125 guests. Wide plank wood floors, warm aged timber, and exceptional picture windows overlooking the vineyard give the space its character. Climate-controlled throughout — uncommon in a barn of this age.
The Glass Manor seats up to 300 guests. The defining quality is the views — floor to ceiling, from every angle. The silo anchors the space while wraparound patios edged by fieldstone walls open the venue to the landscape, allowing guests to move freely between inside and out — as well suited to a cocktail reception as a seated dinner.
Yes. The estate has seven ceremony settings — Hilltop, Silo Lounge, Willow Tree, Wisteria Terrace, Flagstone Courtyard, and Stone Steps & Pine Terrace.
For inclement weather, couples using the Bank Barn have the Glass Manor as their indoor alternative, and vice versa. The lower level of the Bank Barn — historic stone walls and four church pews — also offers an intimate indoor ceremony option with a quiet chapel quality.
Weather contingency plans are coordinated by your planner — the estate team is always available to share our knowledge of the spaces and help think through the best option for your day.
The estate has three primary spaces for rehearsal dinners, welcome events, and farewell brunches.
The Wisteria Terrace and Flagstone Courtyard — both at the Manor House — each accommodate 25 to 100 guests, with the Manor House interior available as an indoor option for either.
The Silo Lounge accommodates over 300 guests — well suited to larger welcome events and farewell gatherings.
All spaces are part of your wedding package — your planner and the estate team will help match the right space to each moment of your celebration.
Yes. Each venue has its own dedicated space for the wedding party to prepare.
The Bank Barn includes the Loft — a private space one flight above the main gathering area, included with all packages.
The Glass Manor has the Cow Parlor — a fully appointed space with seating, adjacent to the Glass Manor restrooms, included with all packages.
For weekend packages, the Manor House and Vineyard Cottage provide additional getting ready space across the property.
A professional day-of coordinator is required for all weddings at the estate. The level of planning support beyond that — partial or full service — is entirely your choice. Your coordinator must attend a walkthrough with the estate team 30 days prior to the wedding. We maintain a preferred vendor list and are happy to share recommendations when you inquire.
Yes, furniture is provided at both venues as part of your package.
The Bank Barn includes seven handcrafted farm tables and 125 chairs — a generational mix of wooden chairs that give the space its lived-in character.
The Glass Manor is furnished with round and rectangular tables and seating for the full capacity of the space. White resin chairs are standard — the clean profile works well against the Manor's views and fieldstone.
Real candles are not permitted in the Bank Barn — LED votives are a practical alternative that work well in the warm wood interior. Real candles are permitted in the Glass Manor with proper supervision throughout.
Yes. Sparkler exits are permitted outdoors with proper supervision. All sparkler use is outdoors only.
Well-behaved pets belonging to the couple or immediate family are welcome for the celebration. The estate is a working farm with animals on the grounds, so pets must remain leashed at all times and are the responsibility of their owner throughout — as much for their safety as for courtesy to other guests. Service animals are always welcome.
Everything about food, drink, and the culinary experience at your celebration.
All culinary services at Tranquility Farm are provided exclusively by Founding Farmers Co. Catering & Events. For weddings with specific cultural or religious culinary traditions that require outside expertise, we accommodate outside caterers — an additional fee applies and proof of licensing and liability insurance is required. Reach out through our events portal to discuss →
All alcohol service on the estate is managed through Founding Farmers Co. Catering & Events under their banquet license. Wine served at all celebrations will be estate wine — grown and poured on the same estate. Quantities are estimated at one case per 40 guests, with a minimum of four cases.
Cases are priced between $300 and $600 depending on the wine selected. The estate team will help estimate quantities and select wines that suit your celebration and budget.
Yes. A 15% discount applies to all estate wine purchased for your celebration. Contracted couples also receive Estate Club membership — early access to new releases, a complimentary glass on every winery visit, and invitations to member events. We also host gatherings designed specifically for couples who have celebrated here — the relationship with the estate doesn't end with the wedding day.
Overnight stays on the estate — for wedding packages and leisure visits.
The estate has three overnight accommodations — the Manor House, the Vineyard Cottage, and the Grüner Bungalow.
The Manor House sleeps up to 10 across 5 bedrooms. The Vineyard Cottage sleeps up to 8 across 4 bedrooms. The Grüner Bungalow has 8 bedrooms and sits by the vineyard. The Manor House and Vineyard Cottage are included with select wedding packages — all three are available for leisure stays independently.
Purcellville does not have hotels within town limits. For guests staying off-site, hotel accommodations are available approximately 20 minutes away in Leesburg, Ashburn, and Middleburg. Short-term rentals are also available in the area — including from neighbors along Tranquility Road itself. Hillandale Farmhouse, a circa 1774 property nearby, is one worth knowing about.
Visit Loudoun offers a complimentary lodging assistance service for the region — visitloudoun.org is a good starting point for guests coordinating their stay.
